MNHIMA Executive Director Position Transition

The MNHIMA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Sue Nathe has accepted the position as the MNHIMA Executive Director.

A little about Sue: Sue started her healthcare career working with developmentally disabled individuals and worked within that field in a variety of settings (direct care and administration). In 1997, Sue graduated from Ridgewater College with an AAS in Health Information Technology. She then obtained her RHIT certification. Sue has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including Acute Care, Long Term Care, and as a Durable Medical Equipment supplier and Pharmacy owner. Her experience with MNHIMA/AHIMA includes roles as Regional President, several MNHIMA officer roles, and AHIMA Advocacy Chair. Sue continues to be an advocate for the Health Information profession and is excited to share her passion and knowledge with MNHIMA’s membership, vendors, and associated organizations.

A few fun facts about Sue: Sue is married to Mark and they have 3 children and nine grandchildren. Sue loves to spend time with her grandchildren, often finding them in the kitchen baking cookies, etc. She also has a love of animals, particularly exotic animals and enjoys spending time with them. The list of animals she has had the opportunity to share time with includes a bear, camel, ostriches, emus, and rheas, just to name a few.

Transition Plan: Due to Sue’s acceptance of the MNHIMA Executive Director role, she is unable to continue in her present roll as President Elect and also then as the President of MNHIMA. The MNHIMA Board of Directors has accepted her resignation of this office, effective immediately. Due to her resignation, the Board of Directors met and reviewed MNHIMA’s Bylaws and Policy and Procedures for filling this position. The Board of Directors has made the decision to have the current President, Mary Juenemann and Past President Jeri Romano continue in their current roles for the next year. The newly elected officers will fill their roles as anticipated. The Board of Director’s feel that this continuity of officers for the next year is beneficial to MNHIMA and its membership.

Please join the MNHIMA Board of Directors in welcoming Sue Nathe in her new role as MNHIMA’s Executive Director!
