Become a Member

To become a member of MNHIMA, you must join the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and select Minnesota HIMA as your component state association (CSA).  There are no dues for MNHIMA – just pay your AHIMA dues.

The Minnesota Health Information Management Association (MNHIMA) is the state association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Founded in 1935, MNHIMA continues to be a premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals. We are committed to advancing the HIM profession in an increasingly electronic and global environment through leadership, education and best practices.

Scholarships

MNHIMA is pleased to once again remind our eligible students of our annual MNHIMA Scholarship. This scholarship is based on merit and not on financial need.

The deadline to apply for a MNHIMA Scholarship is January 31, 2023.

Achievement Awards

Each year, the Nominating Committee seeks recommendations for individuals deserving of being recognized within the categories of our recognition program. A nomination is a way to recognize excellence at every level within our association, and we welcome all eligible nominations.

The deadline to submit a nominee for an award is January 31, 2023.

Nominations for 2023 Election are Open

The MNHIMA Nominating Committee is seeking nominations and volunteers interested in having their names placed on the ballot for our MNHIMA 2023 election.

The deadline to submit a nomination is December 31.

Participation of our members in volunteer roles is key to building a strong association that provides optimal educational, networking, resources and leadership opportunities for its members. MNHIMA is a professional association consisting of subject matter experts from a variety of different roles in health care. We have the expertise to provide a wealth of information in all aspects of health information management subject areas.
