AHIMA is asking all AHIMA members to visit the action center of the Advocacy Assistant http://capwiz.com/ahima/home/ to send a letter (Sample Letter) to your member of the House of Representatives in support of HR 4105, the "Medicare Recovery Audit Contractor Moratorium Act." Since AHIMA's April 8 Hill Day, the bill has picked up 11 cosponsors for a total of 66 bipartisan cosponsors. Since the letter-writing campaign began on April 17, AHIMA members have sent nearly 400 letters to Congress supporting this important legislation.

Currently, New York is leading the charge with 65 letters sent to Congress, and Florida is closely behind with 56 letters. If we are to succeed and have this bill passed or added to a larger Medicare proposal, we will certainly need AHIMA members to continue their grassroots advocacy efforts supporting HR 4105.
