Call for Annual Meeting Speaker Presentations
If you are looking for a great way to
share what you've learned, give back to the profession, add something to
your resume or just earn CEUs - how about making a presentation at the MHIMA
Annual Meeting. The Minnesota Health Information Management Association (MHIMA)
is now accepting applications for program speakers for our 2009 Annual Meeting
educational program. The annual meeting will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 through Friday,
May 8, 2009 at the Grand Casino, Hinckley, Minnesota.
Topics should focus on issues of
interest to health information management professionals, health
information policymakers, and health information technology
professionals. The program will include multiple general sessions as well
as a variety of educational tracks. For every 15 minutes of
presentation you earn one CEU, and if you participate in an hour long panel
discussion you can also earn one CEU. Please consider sharing your
experiences with our members (and earn some CEUS at the same time).
Speaker applications are due by September 30, 2008. Why so soon? Our Annual Meeting
Committee started meeting in August to create the best educational
programs on the market for HIM professionals.
All proposals submitted are reviewed and selected by the MHIMA 2009 Annual
Meeting Committee. Program topics should be timely, relevant, and
innovative. The speakers selected will be experienced and qualified to
present their topics. Program topics should be timely, innovative, and of
relevance and use to the audience. We are looking for presenters who will
provide the audience with greater understanding of current issues, new
